Walking into a new training environment for the first time can feel daunting — especially if you're not sure what you're in for. At PT Hub, we want you to know exactly what to expect so you can arrive relaxed and ready to get to work. Here's how it goes.
Before we pick up a single piece of equipment, we'll have a chat. We want to understand where you're coming from — your training history, any injuries or physical considerations, what your goals are, and what you've tried before. This isn't a sales pitch; it's us getting the information we need to coach you well from day one.
There are no wrong answers. Whether you're completely new to strength training or coming back after years away, we meet you where you are.
Next, we'll take a look at how you move through some basic patterns — a squat, a hinge, a press. We're not judging; we're gathering information. These fundamental movement patterns are the foundation of everything we do, and understanding where you're starting from helps us coach you more effectively and progress you safely.
Depending on what we see, we'll introduce you to one or two foundational movements and work on them together. This might be a kettlebell swing, a goblet squat, or a deadlift pattern. We won't try to teach you everything at once — we'll focus on the movements that are most relevant to your goals and build from there.
Expect coaching cues, adjustments, and honest feedback. That's what you're here for.
First sessions at PT Hub are intentionally paced. We're not trying to smash you into the ground to prove the training is working. We want you to leave feeling like you moved well, learned something, and are genuinely keen to come back. A great first session plants the seed for a long-term training habit — and that's the real goal.
We'll debrief at the end — talk about what we worked on, what we noticed, and what the next steps look like. If PT Hub feels like the right fit, we'll talk about how to get started properly: training frequency, session format, and what a realistic program looks like for you.
No pressure. No hard sell. Just an honest conversation about what's going to work.
